Terms of Service for TechBoy.co.za

Welcome to TechBoy.co.za. We’re happy you’re here. Before you use our website or hire us to fix your laptop, troubleshoot your network, or explain why your screen keeps blinking like a disco ball — please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”). They govern your access to and use of our website, services, and anything else we offer through this platform.

By accessing or using TechBoy.co.za, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, we won’t take it personally — but please don’t use our site or services.


1. Who We Are

TechBoy.co.za is a South African-based tech support and digital solutions provider. We offer tech repairs, consultations, home and business IT support, and helpful online content for everyday users.


2. Eligibility to Use

To use this website or request services, you must be:

  • At least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent/guardian
  • Capable of entering into a legal agreement
  • Not using the site for fraudulent or malicious purposes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. (It’s nothing personal — just good business.)


3. Our Services

We provide:

  • General tech support and troubleshooting
  • On-site or remote consultations
  • Tech content, tips, and how-to guides
  • Hardware and software recommendations
  • Small business tech solutions

Note: While we aim to be as helpful as possible, we don’t guarantee every fix will be perfect. Tech can be unpredictable — just ask anyone who’s ever used a printer.


4. Payments and Pricing

Some services listed on TechBoy.co.za may include fees. Before beginning work, we’ll provide:

  • A quote (where possible)
  • Payment details and terms
  • Invoicing upon request

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT (if applicable). We accept payment via EFT, mobile wallet, or other methods agreed upon in writing.

Failure to pay for completed services may result in collection efforts or refusal of future support (and we’d really rather not go there).


5. Cancellations and Refunds

Life happens — we get it.

You may cancel a booked service with at least 24 hours’ notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours may incur a call-out fee or partial service charge.

If you’re not satisfied with a service, please contact us. We’ll do our best to resolve it. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed unless there was clear fault or negligence on our part.


6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for illegal or harmful purposes
  • Copy, scrape, or steal our content without permission
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten our staff (yes, that includes email shouting)
  • Upload malicious software or tamper with our systems

Be cool, be respectful, and we’ll get along just fine.


7. Intellectual Property

Everything you see on TechBoy.co.za — including the name, logo, design, blog articles, guides, images, and branding — is the intellectual property of TechBoy (unless otherwise credited).

You may:

  • Read and share blog posts (with credit)
  • Download content for personal use
    You may not:
  • Reproduce our work for commercial gain
  • Claim our content as your own
  • Copy the website design or text without permission

Basically, don’t copy-paste our hard work — it’s just rude.


8. Third-Party Links and Services

We may occasionally recommend products or link to external sites (like antivirus software, tech tools, or online stores). While we do our best to vet these, we’re not responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their content
  • Their privacy practices
  • Any damage caused by using their products or services

Use third-party links at your own discretion.


9. Limitation of Liability

TechBoy.co.za provides information and services “as is” — we can’t promise that everything will always be 100% error-free, glitch-proof, or virus-resistant. While we work hard to offer reliable help, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Damage to devices or systems
  • Service downtime
  • Issues caused by third-party software or hardware

If your cat knocks over your PC while we’re on a remote call, unfortunately, we can’t take responsibility. (Though we will sympathize.)


10. Indemnification

By using TechBoy.co.za, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless our company, staff, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or legal actions resulting from:

  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your use of our services beyond recommended guidelines

In other words: if you break it, misuse it, or misinterpret it, we can’t be held accountable.

We may update these Terms occasionally — because the internet changes fast. If we make significant updates, we’ll post them here and update the effective date.

Continued use of the website after changes are made means you accept the updated terms. (Don’t worry — we try to keep things fair.)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to TechBoy.co.za or our services if you violate any part of these Terms or engage in misuse or abuse of the platform.

But honestly, we’d much rather help you than ban you. Let’s keep it professional.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with South African legal standards.
